LEGAL MANAGER - Rewarding Work

REQUIREMENTS:

The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Education/Skills

•  Must possess at least a Degree of Master of Laws.
•  Completed pupilage and admitted to the Malaysian Bar.
•  Practiced as a Lawyer in a Legal Firm and proven track record.
•  Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken (National  Language and English).
•  Competent in providing effective legal solutions to facilitate business in  alignment with strategic priorities.
•  Strong analytical skill, and attention to details.
•  Self-motivated, able work independently and under pressure.
•  Well verse with the Ministry Domestic Trade and Cost of Living including all other relevant Ministries.
•  Language(s) : Excellent command Bahasa Malaysia (National Language)  and English.
• Knowledge in Employment Act and Industrial Relations Act including good Labour practice. 

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES to include but NOT limited to:

•  Report and responsible to the Global President and to the Principal Private Secretary.
•  Research and analyse legal issues and advise management on the legal implications of their decisions.
•  Draft, review, negotiate and approve contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
•  Provide legal advice, guidance and solution to management on all legal  issues.
•  Assisting Global President on litigation matters.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Liaise with external solicitors to manage litigation and dispute resolution matters.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with external legal counsel and other legal advisors.
• Oversee regulatory and compliance matters.
• Oversee licenses compliance matters.
• Conduct joint internal audit with company's account department on stock take and compliance.
• Representing the Company and attending meetings with relevant government ministries/departments/authorities.
• Perform other duties assigned by the superior from time to time.
