LOGISTICS MANAGER - Excellent Benefits Package

As a Logistic Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of transportation operations within our company. Your primary goal will be to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of goods from origin to destination. You will manage a team of drivers, schedulers, and administrative staff, while also collaborating closely with other departments to optimize processes and meet customer requirements.
 

JOB DESCRIPTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Supervising the transport department of their daily activities, drivers, clerks and executives’ attendance under them. 
2. Developing and implementing transportation strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. 
3. Oversee the maintenance, utilization and optimization of company’s vehicles (etc: lorries, vans, motorcycles, personal vehicles and others), and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards. 
4. Utilize analytical tools to optimize delivery routes, minimize fuel consumption and reduce delivery times. 
5. Upkeeping all transport related documentation like road taxes, vehicle insurances, maintenance schedule, vehicle’s maintenance, and others. 
6. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) of on-time delivery, fuel efficiency, vehicle utilization, and take corrective actions as necessary to meet or exceed targets. 
7. Stay up-to-date with the transportation regulations by ensuring compliance with laws governing driver hours, vehicle inspections, loading and unloading securement. 
8. Ensuring all the amendments and transport complaints are up to date. 
9. Keep tracking of all lorry diesel reports. 
10. Collaborate with third-party carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers to negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and resolve issues.
11. Work closely with customers to understand their transportation needs and preferences, and coordinate with internal teams to deliver high-quality service and support.
12. Identify and mitigate transportation-related risks, such as accidents, delays, and supply chain disruptions, through proactive planning and effective crisis management.
13. Develop and manage transportation budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability.
14. Any ad-hoc tasks assigned by the management. 

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field 
• Proven experience in transportation management, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years in a similar role.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve common goals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in transportation management systems , and other relevant tools.
• In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, industry best practices, and emerging trends.
• Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
