Machining and Electronic Materials Sourcing - Join a Market Leader

Purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sourcing Engineer specializing in Machining and Electronic Materials to join our dynamic team. The primary role involves sourcing, negotiating, and procuring essential materials required for our machining and electronic manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing our procurement strategies, leveraging their expertise in machining and electronic materials to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

Additionally, the role encompasses the strategic expansion of our supplier network within the Southeast Asia region. The Sourcing Engineer will be instrumental in integrating a curated selection of qualified and potential suppliers into our supplier portal. This initiative is designed to support our customers aiming to expand their operations in Southeast Asia by providing them with immediate access to a tailored matching of suppliers that meet their specific requirements.

Duties And Responsibilities: 

1.Build excellent supply base by category in Southeast Asia region.

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for machining and electronic materials.
• Identify and qualify suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.
• Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to understand material requirements and specifications.
• Evaluate supplier performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage inventory levels to optimize working capital while ensuring uninterrupted supply.

2.Handle client’s sourcing request and projects in timely and quality manner

• Receive, evaluate, clarify, and address client’s sourcing request.
• Response in time with professional solution presented.
• Follow up client’s feedback and make actions accordingly.

Competencies:

• Sourcing experience in mechanics area and EMS area.
• Excellent knowledge in supply market and available players in the category area.
• Collaborative in managing supplier relationship.
• Have a solid experience in cost components and analysis techniques.
• Experienced and work independently in supplier selection process.
• Adequate negotiating, influencing, presenting, and communicating skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, with a focus on machining and electronic materials.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of machining and electronic manufacturing processes and materials.
• Fluent in English listening, writing and speaking capability.
