Maintenance Manager

Operating a modern facility in Negeri Sembilan, they deliver customized technical solutions to top -tier commercial partners across diverse B2B supply chains. To support their next phase of automation and reliability engineering, they are currently seeking a hands -on technical leader to head their Maintenance Department.

Mission

The Maintenance Manager holds complete accountability for the engineering, machinery uptime, and asset reliability of the manufacturing plant. Focusing heavily on high -volume thermoplastic processing (encompassing both high -tonnage injection moulding and advanced hollow -forming systems), you will lead a dedicated team of engineers, technicians, and supervisors. Your primary objective is to minimize unplanned downtime, maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), manage complex tool/die lifecycles, and enforce uncompromising safety and housekeeping (5S) standards.

Key Responsibilities & Activities

1. Multi -Process Maintenance Operations

• Technical Supervision: Direct and execute all preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for advanced plastic moulding machinery, automated production lines, and essential auxiliary equipment (including chillers, air compressors, cooling towers, hydraulic units, and pneumatic assemblies).
  

• Mould & Tooling Integrity: Oversee routine tool servicing, cleaning, and precision overhauls for complex multi -cavity injection molds and specialized forming tool sets to ensure product dimensional accuracy and zero -defect transfers.
  

• Shutdown Execution: Plan and coordinate comprehensive maintenance shutdowns to minimize production disruptions, executing machine overhauls, calibration routines, and utility upgrades efficiently.
  

2. Breakdown Management, Reliability & OEE

• Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Lead detailed technical investigations and structured problem -solving (e.g., 5 -Why, Fishbone analysis) on major or recurring machine breakdowns to eliminate engineering bottlenecks.
  

• Failure Pattern Mapping: Leverage historical maintenance logs and machinery data to implement preventive strategies that reduce cycle -time loss, physical wear, and material rejection rates.
  

• Data -Driven Reporting: Verify, approve, and archive detailed Machine Breakdown Reports, maintaining clear tracking of downtime, repair cost metrics, and technical resolutions for audit preparedness.
  

3. Spare Parts & Inventory Control

• Inventory Governance: Manage and audit the spare parts warehouse, ensuring the constant availability of critical components (mould parts, hydraulic seals, heater bands, PLC cards, pneumatic actuators, sensors, and consumables).
  

• Cost Efficiency: Optimize stock holding levels to balance financial cost -competitiveness with plant operational security.
  

4. Team Leadership & Shopfloor Discipline

• Workforce Development: Supervise, mentor, and build technical competencies within the maintenance team (technicians, shift leaders, and supervisors) to handle advanced mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  

• Task Allocation: Allocate technical responsibilities clearly, maintaining high standards of work quality, performance metrics (KPIs), and shopfloor discipline.
  

5. EHS, Compliance & Quality Support

• Safety Culture: Enforce strict compliance with global Safety, Health, and Environmental (EHS) guidelines, including Lock -Out, Tag -Out (LOTO) protocols, safety guarding, and Risk Assessments (HIRADC).
  

• Standards Adherence: Maintain full compliance with company policies, local manufacturing regulations, and ISO Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, 5S).
  

• Quality Collaboration: Partner with Production, QA/QC, and Process Engineering to reduce product reject rates, optimize molding cycle times, and support continuous energy -saving and waste -reduction initiatives.
  

Requirements

Education & Technical Credentials

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
  

• Specialized Expertise: Deep, hands -on knowledge of high -volume thermoplastic processing (including high -tonnage injection moulding and associated hollow -part forming technology) and complex mould construction.
  

• Core Systems: Proficient in industrial hydraulics, pneumatic circuits, PLC automation controls, and electrical schematic troubleshooting.
  

Experience & Competencies

• Professional Background: Minimum of 5–10 years of progressive maintenance experience within the plastic manufacturing industry (direct experience with industrial polymer components or specialized technical vessels is highly preferred).
  

• Leadership Experience: At least 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial capacity leading technical teams on the factory floor.
  

• Problem Solving: Outstanding troubleshooting and analytical capability with a proactive, continuous -improvement mindset.
