Manager, Government & Authority Liasion - Join a Market Leader

JOB PURPOSE :

To organize & participate in a meeting with stakeholders & manage, monitor and ensure all permits, license, Development Order/Kebenaran Merancang, Infrastructure, Buildings Plan approvals, standard, guidelines, ordinance rules and regulations to be obtained for a particular project to move forward as per schedule.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :

• To coordinate the approval process with multi-disciplinary project team, boards and commissions, and/or government entities.
• To coordinate closely with various consultants, planners, architects & engineers for submission application.
• To execute details proposal plan of the projects up to the approval of the relevant Authorities and Government bodies.
• Maintain close liaison with Head of Department/Director/Assistant Director, processing officer and arrange for technical clarification between the project consultants and the processing offices.
• To develop, manage and strengthen the relationship with the state authorities.
• To ensure smooth implementation of the project by obtaining the requisite approval timely from the approving authorities.
• To ensure timely application for Certificate of Fitness/Certificate of Completion and Compliance for all completed phase/projects.
• Compilation of construction progress reports for the approving authorities and develop & present frequent updates reports to Department Head and Top Management on the status of application for ongoing approval.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCY :

• Degree Holder in Civil Engineering, Architectural, Geomatics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Town Planning or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in dealing with government departments and other Authority/Utilities/Highway for approval prior to construction/property development works.
• Experience in Rail, Infrastructure and Property Development project is an advantage.
• Good in interpersonal, communication and presentation skill with able to interact with all levels internally and externally and good command of Bahasa Malaysia & English.
• Meticulous, problem solving, poses ‘can do’ attitude to work, capabilities to meet deadlines and able to handle work stress and pressure.
• Must be willing to travel and relocate.
