Penerangan Pekerjaan - Manager, Internal Audit & Compliance (Hotel Division)

Responsibilities:

  • Develops an annual audit plan to cover internal controls, risk management process, regulatory compliance, credit management process, treasury and cash management process, capital expenditure procedures, administrative and financial systems, human resources, IT, reliability of financial and management accounts, and investigation of sensitive and fraud-related issues at hotels.
  • Organises and schedules audit plans to our group of hotels on a monthly basis.
  • Risk assessment – Identifying and assessing risks within the organisation’s operation and processes to prioritise audit activities and develop appropriate audit plans.
  • Compliance monitoring – Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards by conducting audits and reviewing processes and procedures.
  • Process Improvement – Recommending improvements to internal controls, policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency, reduce risk and achieve organisational objectives.
  • Communication – Communicating audit findings, recommendations and insights to senior management, audit committees, and relevant stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Monitoring – Monitoring and tracking the implementation of audit recommendations and following up on audit findings to ensure compliance and improvement over time.
  • Ethical Standards – Upholding professional and ethical standards in conducting audits, maintaining independence and safeguarding confidential information.
  • Manage the whistleblowing processes and conduct/assist in investigations related to the reported allegations.
  • To assist in ad-hoc assignments from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Accountancy / Finance / Business or equivalent professional qualifications.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in audit and risk management.
  • High level of integrity and takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
  • Strong auditing, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Required to travel occasionally (domestically and/or internationally).
  • Good communication skills, both spoken and written English.
