Manager, Internal Audit - Dynamic Team

Qualifications & experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a specialty area such as Accounting, Finance or Business Administration. Accreditation related to Audit will be an added advantage
• Minimum 6-8 years of hands-on accountancy or auditing experience preferable in the insurance industry
• Ability to stay abreast of key regulations and be able to assess their impact on the internal audit process
• Preferably with knowledge and ability to perform data analytics of working in a multinational company
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers, clients and management and to work effectively in a team environment
• Good understandings of the various Shariah requirements and Bank Negara Malaysia Guidelines

Tasks & responsibilities

• Conduct audit assignments including system review, identifying operational shortcomings, review compliance with regulatory and Shariah requirements, internal control policy procedures, business practices and providing recommendations for improvements within the budgeted time and cost
• Track and monitor progress and quality of corrective actions taken to address open issues
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with process owners and business management to help improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the internal controls and business processes
• Assist Head of Department to oversee and provide quality control of the audit work to ensure department guidelines and standards are met
• Undertake the performance and completion of unscheduled/ ad-hoc reviews as and when required
• Coordinate with other control and monitoring functions
