· Strategy Development and Execution:
- Lead the formulation and execution of sales strategies for MHE's lifting equipment business, covering both new equipment and services.
- Develop comprehensive plans to cultivate the sales pipeline and achieve annual sales targets.
· Market Share Expansion:
- Identify target audiences, industrial applications, markets, and geographical areas to expand MHE's lifting equipment market share.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth and development.
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with customers through regular visits to ensure long-term business continuity.
· Revenue Maximization:
- Oversee the preparation of technical proposals, conduct commercial negotiations, and manage costing procedures to maximize sales revenue.
- Ensure adherence to internal processes and establish effective relationships with principals and stakeholders.
· Leadership and Development:
- Review internal sales resources and, when necessary, recruit and build a team of lifting equipment salespersons to support business expansion.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with other departments to strengthen internal resources and enhance overall business operations.
- Work with service operations, sales support, administration, and supply chain management teams to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of services.
· Product & Tehcnical Support:
- Becomes the lifting equipment subject expert in Malaysia
- Support internal and external stakeholders in providing technical solutions, solving technical difficulties
- Conduct product training
- Liaise with the internal operation team when customers face technical issues, warranty claims, etc.
· Resource and Financial Monitoring:
- Monitor manhours, efficiency, and resource utilization captured in SAP against the budget to maintain project profitability while ensuring proper resource utilization.
- Ensure profitability of each new lifting equipment sales and service job
· Invoicing and Collections: Follow up with customers and coordinate with the Finance and Admin Department to ensure timely invoicing and prompt collection of overdue debts.
· Marketing Participation: Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events to promote the company's products and service contracts.
· Reporting: Regularly report to the General Manager of Sales on sales performance, pipeline, and forecasts.
· International Sales: Manage sales offers outside the Malaysian market when assigned.
· Ad Hoc Duties: Perform any other duties as required by the General Manager of Sales.
Required qualifications
· Bachelor Degree/ Diploma in any architecture / engineering / construction related discipline.
· Minimum 10 years working experience in related field.
· Proven experience in engineering sales, with a minimum of 5 years in a manager role.
· Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies, achieving sales targets, and expanding market share.
· Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to manage complex commercial negotiations effectively.
· Excellent leadership abilities, with a track record of building and leading high-performing sales teams.
· Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
· Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
