Manager Process Engineering

Provide technical leadership in fields such as chemical, solution preparation as well as best manufacturing processes and product manufacturability improvements. Manages all engineering activities, leads and develops the engineering team. Laboratory Operations Management: Oversee the preparation, testing, and analysis of chemical solutions to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with specifications. Manage lab resources, including chemicals, reagents, and equipment, ensuring proper inventory levels and timely procurement. Schedule lab activities, including experiments, equipment use, and staff assignments, to optimize productivity. Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments (e.g., YSI, Viscometer, pH Meter, weighting scale) to ensure accurate results. Analyze experimental data, prepare technical reports, and present findings to stakeholders or management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, quality assurance, production) to align lab activities with organizational objectives. Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols to ensure chemical solutions meet required standards. Prepare and review technical reports, SOPs, and documentation for audits or regulatory submissions. Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicals in compliance with OSHA, and other relevant regulations. Monitor and enforce laboratory safety standards, conducting regular safety audits and training staff on SOPs and emergency procedures. Maintain accurate records for regulatory compliance, including chemical inventories and safety data sheets (SDS). Manage the lab's budget, including expenditures for supplies, equipment maintenance, and staffing. Coordinate with vendors for equipment purchases, maintenance contracts, and chemical supplies. Supervise, mentor, and train lab staff, including chemists, technicians, and assistants, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Set performance goals, conduct evaluations, and provide feedback to support professional development. Recruit and onboard new team members as needed. Basic knowledge related to product, process, and equipment used in a high volume manufacturing environment Ability to work in Team environment across multiple functional groups Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and conflicting priorities Typically requires minimum of 5 years of related industry experience. Typically requires 5-8 years of leadership experience. Lean Manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma experience is required. Excellent team-oriented communication and organizational skills Master's or PhD preferred Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, BioProcess Engineering, Chemistry or related field required.
