GENERAL DESCRIPTION
To lead and coordinate business growth, marketing, corporate partnership, and referral development initiatives across hospitals within the region. The role is responsible for supporting hospitals in achieving growth targets, strengthening regional market presence, driving strategic partnerships, enhancing referral networks, and ensuring alignment with KPJ's business growth and marketing strategies. The incumbent serves as the regional focal point in monitoring performance, sharing best practices, and facilitating collaboration among hospitals to achieve sustainable growth.
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Regional Business Growth Strategy
- Develop and implement regional business growth initiatives aligned with KPJ's strategic objectives.
- Support hospitals in identifying and pursuing growth opportunities to increase patient volume and revenue.
- Facilitate the development and execution of hospital-specific business growth plans.
- Monitor market trends, patient demographics, and healthcare developments to identify opportunities for expansion.
- Support the RCEO in driving regional growth priorities and strategic initiatives.
2. Performance Monitoring & Business Analytics
- Monitor business growth and marketing performance across hospitals within the region.
- Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), revenue trends, patient volumes, referral patterns, and market performance.
- Identify performance gaps and recommend improvement strategies.
- Prepare and present regional performance reports and insights to the RCEO and hospital leadership teams.
- Promote data-driven decision-making through market intelligence and business analytics.
3. Corporate Partnership & Key Account Development
- Develop and execute regional corporate partnership strategies to strengthen business opportunities.
- Identify, establish, and maintain strategic relationships with corporate organisations, insurance providers, TPAs, educational institutions, government agencies, and community partners.
- Support hospitals in securing and managing key corporate accounts and panel agreements.
- Coordinate regional initiatives to maximise corporate referrals and business opportunities.
- Facilitate collaboration among hospitals to leverage regional corporate partnerships.
4. General Practitioner (GP) & Referral Network Development
- Strengthen regional engagement with General Practitioners (GPs), clinics, and referral partners.
- Support hospitals in developing and implementing GP engagement programmes.
- Monitor referral trends and identify opportunities to enhance referral growth.
- Foster strategic relationships with healthcare providers and referral sources within the region.
- Promote best practices in referral management and relationship building.
5. Regional Marketing & Brand Management
- Coordinate regional marketing initiatives to support hospital growth objectives.
- Ensure consistent application of KPJ branding, communication, and marketing standards across the region.
- Collaborate with Group Marketing and hospital teams in the execution of marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
- Support digital marketing, social media engagement, and customer outreach initiatives.
- Monitor the effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) of marketing activities.
6. Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis
- Conduct market research and competitor benchmarking to identify opportunities and threats.
- Monitor healthcare industry developments, patient preferences, and competitor activities.
- Analyse market trends and service gaps to support business planning and growth strategies.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on market intelligence and business insights.
7. Community Engagement & Strategic Partnerships
- Provide strategic guidance to hospitals in planning and executing community engagement programmes.
- Facilitate partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, educational institutions, professional bodies, and community organisations.
- Support initiatives that enhance KPJ's reputation, visibility, and community presence within the region.
- Encourage collaborative regional programmes that contribute to patient acquisition and brand awareness.
8. Regional Collaboration & Capability Development
- Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among hospital Business Growth & Marketing teams.
- Drive standardisation of business growth and marketing practices across the region.
- Facilitate regular regional meetings, performance reviews, and best practice sharing sessions.
- Coach and support hospital BGM leaders in achieving departmental objectives.
- Identify capability gaps and recommend development initiatives to strengthen regional competencies.
9. Governance, Compliance & Quality
- Ensure all business growth and marketing activities comply with KPJ policies, branding standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote adherence to ethical marketing practices and healthcare regulations.
- Support quality improvement, accreditation, and risk management initiatives where applicable.
- Ensure proper governance and reporting practices are maintained across the region.
10. Health, Safety & Other Responsibilities
- Comply with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) requirements, company policies, and applicable regulations.
- Participate in organisational initiatives, projects, and transformation programmes as assigned.
- Undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the RCEO from time to time.
JOB REQUIREMENT
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Communications, or related discipline.
- Master's Degree (MBA or equivalent) is an added advantage.
Knowledge and Experiences:
- Minimum 6–8 years of experience in business development, marketing, commercial management, or healthcare services.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership or managerial experience.
- Experience in healthcare, insurance, hospitality, or service industries is preferred.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and cross-functional initiatives is an added advantage.
