Summary

The Manager, Category Management - Facilities is instrumental in supporting the shaping of our indirect procurement strategy and driving adoption within the organization. This role will be key to our continued expansion in Malaysia and will support the build out and continued operations of new facilities. The incumbent possesses a strong background in category management, a results-oriented mindset, and a commitment to teamwork and ingenuity, contributing to significant savings and optimized spend.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

• Manage one to two indirect categories, representing approximately $50M of spend.


• Develop and execute strategic category plans (40% strategic planning, 60% hands-on execution).


• Drive savings initiatives and optimize spend under management.


• Improve procurement cycle times for assigned categories.


• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful adoption of indirect procurement processes.


• Travel globally approximately 10-25% of the time.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.


• Ability to work effectively in a global, fast-paced environment.


• Demonstrated ability to drive results and influence stakeholders.


• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.


• Experience with Ivalua is a plus.

Physical Demands

Typical Experience

• 3-5 years of specific experience in category management.

Typical Education

• Bachelor’s degree in related field (Commerce, Engineering), or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
