Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities :

• Maintain and improve manufacturing processes to meet internal process quality and productivity performance requirements.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency by optimization of workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
• Ensure product quality and process consistency by process capability studies, establishing standards and confirming manufacturing processes.
• Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules and estimating future requirements.
• Stop production to correct any quality problem and verify quality to confirm restart of production. 
• Prepare product and process reports for manufacturing performance review by management representative on key issues.
• Keep equipment in operational conditions by coordinating with Maintenance; follow equipment standards/procedures and ensure compliance to quality standards.
• Coordinate with production planning and QC/QA to meet on time delivery, yield improvement, quality improvement, product verification and handling customer complaints.
• Improve yield by determining the top defects, through the root cause analysis and fool-proof methods.
• Enforce work discipline and job compliance of subordinates.
• Performing other related duties as per assignment by management from time to time.

Requirements :

• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or any related field of study.
• At least 2 years working and hands-on experience.
• Substantial working experience in manufacturing industry and knowledge in electro-plating process will be an added advantage.
• Possess strong leadership, interpersonal communication skills and willing to learn in a challenging manufacturing environment.
• Proactive, result oriented and able to work under pressure.
• PC literate and good knowledge in Microsoft Office application.
