Manufacturing Technician
Description -
We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of manufacturing equipment, maintaining production schedules, and achieving high-quality outputs. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have strong technical skills, and focus on producing optimal results while adhering to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Production and Output Management:
o Monitor and operate manufacturing equipment to ensure timely and accurate outputs, meeting production targets and quality standards.
o Perform routine checks and adjustments to equipment to maintain consistent output and prevent downtime.
o Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize production delays and meet output goals.
o Ensure that all output materials and products are produced according to specified quality standards and within required timeframes.
• Process Efficiency and Improvement:
o Identify opportunities to improve production processes, focusing on maximizing output while minimizing waste and inefficiencies.
o Suggest and implement process improvements that enhance both speed and quality of outputs.
o Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes for better outcomes.
• Quality Control and Assurance:
o Perform quality checks on products to ensure compliance with all company and industry standards.
o Record data and document production outputs, ensuring accurate reporting for analysis and quality audits.
o Address quality issues immediately and collaborate with the quality assurance team to resolve discrepancies.
• Equipment Maintenance:
o Maintain and clean manufacturing equipment to ensure continuous operations and high-quality output.
o Perform preventive maintenance tasks to reduce unplanned downtime and keep equipment running efficiently.
o Work closely with the maintenance team to schedule repairs or upgrades when necessary.
• Documentation and Reporting:
o Keep accurate records of daily production output, machine performance, and any issues encountered.
o Report on any deviations from production targets, explaining the causes and suggesting corrective actions.
o Provide feedback and input into production reports and performance data for management review.
• Health and Safety Compliance:
o Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
o Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations, reducing the risk of accidents and ensuring team well-being.
o Regularly participate in safety training and meetings to remain aware of best practices.
Qualifications:
• Education:
o High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in manufacturing or related field preferred.
o Training or certification in safety protocols, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma is a plus.
• Experience:
o At least [2] years of experience in a manufacturing role, with a focus on equipment operation and output optimization.
o Familiarity with operating machinery, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment in a production environment.
• Skills & Competencies:
o Strong technical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and standard operating procedures.
o Focus on achieving optimal production output while ensuring quality and efficiency.
o Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and address production bottlenecks.
o Excellent attention to detail and the ability to consistently deliver quality results.
o Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks to meet production deadlines.
