Marker (Oil & Gas Projects)

For this role, we are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable oil and gas company operating in Malaysia. The Marker position plays a vital role in ensuring fabrication accuracy, as precise marking and layout are the foundation of successful welding and fitting work. This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on fabrication yard experience who are committed to accuracy, teamwork, and supporting large-scale oil and gas projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Read and interpret fabrication and engineering drawings for steel and piping work.
  
• Mark out joint plates, pipes, and structural materials with precise measurements.
  
• Ensure cutting lines, assembly locations, and dimensions are accurate before fabrication.
  
• Use measuring tools, scribers, chalk, and templates to mark materials correctly.
  
• Collaborate closely with welders, fitters, supervisors, and foremen to align tasks.
  
• Report daily work progress and any issues to supervisors and foremen.
  
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain accuracy in all tasks.
  

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Marker or in a related fabrication role.
  
• Ability to read and understand fabrication and piping drawings.
  
• Skilled in using measuring and marking tools for steel and pipe layout.
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in marking work.
  
• Ability to work effectively as part of a fabrication team.
  

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)

• Experience in oil & gas fabrication yards or offshore projects.
  
• Familiarity with international fabrication standards and tolerances.
  
• Knowledge of quality inspection processes related to marking and cutting.
  
• Certification in fabrication or technical vocational training.
  
• Strong communication and coordination skills with multi-disciplinary teams.
  

What We Offer

• Hourly wage of RM15 with overtime opportunities.
  
• Stable working hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday.
