In collaboration with leading clinics, research institutes and universities, Straumann researches, develops and manufactures dental implants, instruments, prosthetics and tissue regeneration products for use in tooth replacement and restoration solutions or to prevent tooth loss.
Job Purpose
The Marketing Manager is a core role within Straumann Marketing and TE (Training & Education) activities. The objective of the role is to bring information, value added services, activities to our dentists and their customers, the patients, by way of working with the local partners (subsidiaries and SEA distributors).
This position is based at Straumann Malaysia office. The position reports to SE Asia Commercial Director.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Be a strong partner to subsidiary and distributors in planning, executing, and managing Marketing Communication, Value Added Customer Services (VACS), and digital marketing. Coordinate regional synergy as needed.
- Plan, organize, and ensure successful execution professional congresses attended by Straumann
- Evaluating and optimizing marketing and pricing strategies.
- Analyzing market trends and preparing forecasts.
- Generating new business leads.
- Increasing brand awareness and market share.
- Coordinating marketing strategies with the sales, financial, public relations, and production departments.
- Developing and managing the marketing department's budget.
- Well versed with B2B & B2C marketing, Product management, Macrom, medical marketing, consumer maketing and KOL management.
- Overseeing branding, advertising, and promotional campaigns.
- Preparing and presenting quarterly and annual reports to senior management.
- Planning and assisting with new product releases and events.
- Managing marketing budget and expenses.
Experience
The ideal candidate is one who can apply analytical thinking and experience-based judgment to complex challenges by focusing on the critical issues and constraints that affect business performance.
The ideal candidate should also demonstrate the following:
- 10 years above experience in either corporate or on agency side with strong execution in managing MarCom & event projects involving multiple stakeholders such as agencies, freelancers and corp. managers
- A strong understanding of digital marketing concepts such as email marketing, social media marketing and search engine marketing with at least 5 years hands-on experience with digital marketing tools similar to Google analytics, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, Wordpress, Hubspot etc.
- Strong project management skills and is a structured thinker
- Working ability with common design tools (incl. Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and understand design concepts efficiently
- Ability to maneuver SAP and customer database is a plus
Education and Personal Attributes
- Professional experience with a Degree and/or Master’s degree required
- Ability to embrace ambiguous situations, navigate through complex issues and is result and solution oriented focus
- Strong people development skills: ability to provide colleague and distributors the necessary leverage to implement projects
- Self-motivated with an appetite for working in an lean environment and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects according to project plans, including scope definition, timelines, and deliverables
- Team player who is able to work in a business / expert function matrix and comfortable with working in a matrix organization
- Able to adapt to rapid business changes proactively with a “can-do” attitude
- Hands-on in defining and execution of activities
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a high sense to drive business and performance
- Energetic, enthusiastic and proactive personality
- Comfortable with people interaction and interest in building relationships; strong ability to collaborate effectively with all levels
- Excellent English communication skills (written and oral) and any other Asian language skills preferred due to the region that this role supports
- Strong culture awareness and comfortable to interact with different cultures and stakeholders
