Material Planner Buyer

• Analyzing historical data, market trends, and production schedules to forecast material requirements accurately.
• Maintaining optimal inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to support production schedules while minimizing carrying costs and stockouts.
• Developing procurement strategies based on demand forecasts, lead times, and production requirements.
• Identifying potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and placing orders for materials and components needed for manufacturing processes.
• Cultivating strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality consistency, and favorable terms.
• Negotiating prices, terms, and discounts to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborating with production teams to align material deliveries with production schedules, minimizing disruptions and downtime.
• Ensuring that purchased materials meet quality standards and specifications required for the manufacturing process.
• Implementing systems to track inventory levels, monitor usage, and identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
• Identifying opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements within the procurement and material planning functions.
• Anticipating and mitigating supply chain risks such as supplier shortages, delivery delays, and quality issues.
• Maintaining accurate records of purchases, inventory levels, supplier performance, and procurement activities. Generating reports to provide insights into procurement metrics and KPIs.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies related to procurement, sourcing, and inventory management.
• Working closely with other departments such as production, logistics, finance, and quality assurance to optimize overall manufacturing operations.

Pay: Up to RM6,000.00 per month
