Material Planning Lead

About the role

Work Location : Plentong - Johor 

Reporting to : Supply Chain Manager 

Key responsibilities

• Execute MRP on a weekly basis, monitor and review raw materials & packaging to call off as required.
• PO management – to issue new orders as well to push and pull the orders to maintain healthy safety stock levels
• Inventory control – Ensure optimum inventory level including aged raw material and packaging review with plans to help consume in time before expiration
• Ensure timely response to order requirements by supply planning team & to follow up closely with suppliers to ensure delivery on time
• Prepare monthly forecast visibility to certain suppliers on certain raw materials and packaging
• Coordinate inter & intra raw materials plant transfers requests
• To support new scale up project / NPI with close coordination between cross functions
• To work out contingency plan / supply continuous improvement plan to close supply gaps foreseen
• Execute other tasks as assigned by direct superior
• Lead and support a team of material planners whom will directly reporting to this role – to nourish, guide and grow the talents within the team
   

Qualifications and skills

• Diploma/Degree in Business / Logistics / Supply Chain or as relevant
• More than 5 years of working experience in Supply Chain field
