Mechanical Design Engineer (Automation) - US MNC Company based in Bayan Lepas - Urgent Hiring

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the design and support of measuring instruments and experimental set-ups to meet predefined requirements/specs.
• You will analyze and optimize mechanical designs of measuring instruments and respective subassemblies.
• You will participate in the build of prototypes and pre-productions batches and will support in transfer to series production
• You will elaborate test plans and testing of developments using test protocols
• You will look for, discuss with, qualify, and support in selection of suppliers for key components such that specific requirements are met
• You will create designs, respective manufacturing drawings and documentation.
• You will maintain material in a product data management system and support maintenance of material in SAP
• You will interact with other teams on site including production, service and support and application as well as R&D teams on other sites world-wide.
• You will support procurement with offer requests and assist in choice of supplier

Qualifications

• Academic education as mechanical design engineer or equal by experience
• 5 years of working experience in design of micromechanics, precision instruments and/ or measuring instruments
• Familiar with measurement systems and respective technologies
• Good knowledge using CAD Tools (Experience with Solidworks is an advantage)
• Profound skills in general prototyping (machining , assembly, wiring, …)
• Experience in project management is a plus
• Knowledge on X-ray imaging and computed tomography is a big advantage
• Knowledge on SAP is an advantage
• Good cooperation and communication skills
• Experience in working in an interdisciplinary and international team
