About the Client:

Our client is a global industrial company executing a large-scale project in Sabah, focused on establishing a state-of-the-art industrial facility. This groundbreaking initiative involves extensive civil infrastructure development and complex plant construction. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join this project, contributing to its successful and safe realization.

Position: Mechanical Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Machinery Maintenance: Ensure all machinery and equipment are in good working order to prevent disruptions to operations.
  

• Repairs & Modifications: Oversee and lead all major repairs and modifications at the Plant & Facility, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Manage the specifications, assessment, allocation, and supervision of the maintenance execution team and contractors.
  

• Team Development: Ensure maintenance personnel have the correct skills, receive appropriate training, and stay up-to-date with the latest methods and procedures. Develop the maintenance experience and leadership abilities of subordinates.
  

• Maintenance Planning: Plan, implement, and maintain effective machine and equipment maintenance and support services for the Production Department, in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  

• Operational Analysis: Operate an effective system for recording, analyzing, and monitoring reported defects, breakdowns, and other incidents to enable appropriate decisions and actions that minimize productivity shutdown.
  

• Prompt Response: Provide prompt responses to inquiries or requests during a breakdown and resolve issues as quickly as possible.
  

• Technical Support: Continuously support and assist technicians during machinery and equipment breakdowns and repairs to maintain efficiency, capability, and productivity.
  

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field.
  

• Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office and CAD. Knowledge of project management software is a plus.
  

• Communication: Strong communication skills (oral and written); fluency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
  

• Soft Skills: Excellent organizational skills, ability to work well under pressure, and a strong drive for self-growth and learning.
