Mechanical Engineer
Requirement:
- Recognized Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from university/ college.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years or more of working experiences in oil & gas and petrochemical industry specifically in mechanical static equipment, rotating and firefighting design.
- An energetic & resourceful person with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written & spoken in English.
- Able to lead junior engineers and have strong leadership skill.
- Candidate must have a strong knowledge of international mechanical equipment design codes & standards such as API 650, API 620, API 653 and UL142 for storage tank, ASME VIII Div. 1 & 2 for pressure vessel and also ANSI B73.1, ISO 5199, API 610, API 676 and API 682 and for pump.
- Knowledgeable in Fire Protection requirement for oil and gas and petrochemical plant in accordance with NFPA 30, NFPA 15, NFPA 11, IP 19, IP 15, MS 761 etc.
- Well versed mechanical material specifications and static equipment design such as storage tank and pressure vessel and must be able to do the detail design calculation and drawings for those equipment.
- Having a good knowledge and hands-on experience in both basic and detailed design of mechanical static equipment, rotating equipment and fire fighting in oil and gas plant.
- Experience in dealing with major petroleum companies and / or EPC companies.
- Having knowledge in construction requirement and non-destructive test (NDT) is an advantage.

Responsibilities:
- Ensuring good quality design outputs, as procedure
- Produce the deliverables as per the project requirement and schedules in a time effective manner.
- Perform feasibility study and optimization, front end (basic) engineering and detail engineering design covering project scope development and cost and schedule estimation.
- Provide man hour estimation for a specified work scope.
- Detail design calculation and drawing of Storage Tank and Pressurised Vessel.
- Fire Fighting Design for oil terminal, refinery and petrochemical plants.
- Inter-disciplinary collaboration/ interface.
- Clarify the site technical query or technical clarifications requests and reply client’s questionnaire.
- Design review and Vendor data review.
- Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE).
- Do a weight estimation and provide mechanical equipment loading datasheet.
- Site Visit for checking/ confirmation of existing site condition.
- Develop other more junior personnel’s skill by providing on the job training and appraising their performance.
