Penerangan Pekerjaan - Media Planning Director

Summary:

The role of Media Planning Director is responsible for delivering strategic, integrated media communication recommendations for a diverse group of clients and leading and inspiring a team of planning professionals. You must think strategically and work collaboratively to create recommendations that deliver on client strategic goals and business objectives.

This role requires you to work as part of an integrated media planning team to ensure the product is grounded in insights and experience, resulting in flawless media executions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead 360-degree strategic thinking for an overall media product, encouraging executions that deliver exceptional results.
  • Work to grow the agency's scope of influence (including digital crafts) with the client and grow the share of services.
  • Work alongside VP (Vice President) and ensure all client businesses meet and reach set financial goals and agency/client KPIs
  • Responsible for ensuring key client objectives are met, and active participation in client business planning meetings.
  • Key client consultant for communications planning
  • Mentor key talents and develop the team’s competencies and skills
  • Provide essential and critical oversight in ensuring excellence is achieved across accounts
  • Staying up to date with current industry trends and innovative media solutions
  • Deliver inspiring, motivating, and persuasive presentations that bring creative ideas to life.

Strategy and Development:

  • Understand and build the holistic solution (media, digital including but not limited to, data/analytics and e-commerce, creative, performance, and social) for the relevant clients in line with the client/agency's direction
  • Drive strategy and innovative solutions, from pitch to execution, and ensure the highest quality standards are met
  • Develop and promote effective communications and media planning that support client business KPIs.
  • Consistently set, evaluate, update, and deliver client KPIs
  • Play a key role in presenting strategy/innovation and concepts to clients, along with follow-up, closing, and management of constructive feedback
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve processes, methods, systems, and/or services to better serve the client and agency.
  • Pursue organic growth opportunities and participate as required in new business presentations.

People:

  • Drive best-in-class planning process and skills of the planning team to ensure clients receive the best service
  • Overseeing the team and making sure all timelines and budgets are met
  • Developing the strategic and general skills of the group
  • Ensure internal systems (tools, frameworks) and guidelines are adhered to with clear and concise communication internally and externally
  • Key driver of resource planning and development within the responsible area
  • Attract and retain staff by coaching and motivating team members to instill confidence, excellence, empowerment progression, and teamwork
  • Lead and mentor a team of media professionals. Effectively communicate agency goals, manage workloads, provide ongoing performance feedback, support professional development goals, and inspire great results.

Client Relationships:

  • Cultivate and strengthen client, agency, and media partner relationships at the senior level.
  • Ensuring client management levels are at their highest quality and minimize negative feedback/dissatisfaction/complaints.
  • Lead and develop a direct relationship with the client to become a strategic partner with an in-depth understanding and knowledge of their business.
  • Support new business function (e.g., pitches and spotting new business opportunities)
  • Lead quarterly review of accounts and work with Business Director to implement outcomes

Financials:

  • Maximize all business opportunities within existing clients
  • Ensuring that teams follow all company procedures in negotiations
  • Aware of account profitability and flagging of matters that involve financial risks, followed by planning of how to manage these situations
  • Produce and manage accurate billings and projections.
  • Monitor clear and accurate budgeting and contract forecasting for all clients
  • Financial reporting.

Awards:

  • Champion innovation for client’s businesses by developing, executing, documenting, and crafting award-worthy campaigns for both local and regional campaigns
  • To motivate team members to produce award-winning solutions for all clients
  • Participate in local and international awards which are relevant

Any additional ad-hoc task assigned by your supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • 5 years and above of experience in a relevant role
  • Strong knowledge of best practices in project management
  • Effective negotiation and conflict management skills
  • The ability to see the big picture while managing minute details
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Projects, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Confident and able to handle demanding situations professionally
