Medical Claims (Associate to Specialist) at Cyberjaya, Mandarin Insurance

This leading organisation in the Asia-Pacific region is renowned for its outstanding life insurance premiums. With an ambitious growth strategy and a vision to further enhance its leadership in the industry, the company is seeking a permanent Claims Specialist to join its team at the Malaysia operations hub.

Job Description:

• Process all Life and/or Accident & Hospitalization claims requests received. / Underwrite new application as per stipulated requirements
• Process pre-approval requests in accordance with required benchmarks
• Evaluate and gather all data for the claim. / Underwriting processes, prepare medical questionnaires and review all statuses and ensure efficient adjustment in claim / underwriting system
• Ensure meeting individual quality, turnaround time, and productivity benchmark
• Effective assessment of how the enhancement will affect claims / underwriting operation efficiency
• Suggest and implement workarounds before and after system implementation
• Follow-up on issues post-implementation
• Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by the immediate manager in order to meet business requirements

Requirement:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate, Professional Degree in Medical Science, Bioscience background, Biology, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Healthcare, or any science background.
• Candidates with Medical and Life Underwriting, nursing, or medical lab experience are encouraged to apply.
• Language Proficiency in Mandarin as this position is supporting for the Hong Kong market which mostly is Mandarin speakers. (Spoken and written)
• Customer oriented, self-motivated, and proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Able to adapt to the desk-bound working environment, working shifts including weekends on a rotation basis & able to work overtime beyond normal office hours
