Medical Insurance Data Analyst (Manager) - Start Immediately

We are embarking on an exciting data initiative to support a more innovative, inclusive and sustainable Medical & Health Insurance/Takaful business models in Malaysia.

To achieve this, we need additional professionals to join us.

Responsibilities:

The job holder will develop, organise and process databases to be used in statistical modelling, analytics and medical & health insurance/takaful reports. This involves the use of statistical software and business intelligence tool. In addition, the responsibilities of this role will include:

• Liaise with the project manager and other stakeholders in ensuring the successful implementation of the medical & health insurance/takaful database;
• Using statistics to explore and validate data, extract and manipulate large datasets for analysis, profiling and reporting;
• Evaluate information to determine any limitations in terms of reliability or usability;
• Conduct research, develop and present insightful medical & health analysis of the industry;
• Develop, implement and maintain appropriate analytical tool and coding methodology;
• Develop accurate models for medical & health insurance/takaful reporting, and ensure their appropriate use and application; and
• Communicate complex matters and provide professional delivery of services, these include data analysis, benchmark test and other general support.

Requirements:

The skills and abilities required of the candidate are:

• A graduate degree majoring in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or other quantitative discipline;
• At least 5 years working experience, with direct exposure in analytics work of healthcare or related industry;
• Experience of SAS, R, Python, SQL or VBA would be advantageous;
• Proficient in project management, stakeholder management and reporting techniques;
• An ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
