About the Department

The Retail function provides Personal and Business Banking customers with financial solutions tailored to their needs. We help them manage their money wisely and meet their financial goals through an extensive range of products and services. These include deposit, insurance, secured and unsecured loans, investment and wealth advisory services.

Personal Financial Services

We design and provide products and services that empower our customers to enjoy greater banking convenience while they extract more value from their money. In particular, we are focused on promoting and developing healthy saving and investment practices across generations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own the UOB Malaysia Facebook page and UOB Online in supporting and delivering business goals.
  • Support business stakeholders through the relevant channels to drive acquisition, revenue growth, engagement and retention, across all business units.
  • Define target audience segments that maximize impact.
  • Identify opportunities to test, optimize and scale-up successful marketing initiatives.
  • Evaluate competition, the market, and program performance to size new program opportunities, assess customer impacts, and make recommendations to enhance current programs and improve results.
  • Implement SEO initiatives including identifying gaps and opportunities on UOB's website.
  • Reconcile SEO recommendations to business drivers and product propositions and oversee implementation.
  • Implement and measure campaigns and channels to maximize performance.
  • Establish a framework for measurement for digital channel performance, including KPIs, benchmarks, and acceptable ROI.
  • Manage third party agencies to execute and deliver best-in-class marketing programs.
  • Provide strategic insights, learnings and best practises, and cascade learnings to stakeholders.
  • Keep abreast of new and emerging marketing resources and techniques that would be relevant for our business, vet them and test as appropriate.
  • Manage and maintain all aspects of the budget including invoice payment, accruals, forecasting, expense reconciliation and audit report.
  • Own the governance and controls process to mitigate risks and breaches to policies.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding UOB, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
  • Job Requirements

  • 2-5 years hands-on experience in Digital Marketing, Media and Sales
  • Digital marketing/e-commerce experience is required
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience developing and deploying campaigns, from conceptualization to implementation
  • Experience leveraging web traffic (Google Analytics, Adobe Site Catalyst, etc.) and personalization/testing platforms (Adobe Target, Optimizely) tools
  • Experience with social media management and SEO optimization
  • Ability to successfully interact with various levels within the organization, including Senior Management
  • Intellectually curious, proactively seeking and developing new opportunities
