Penerangan Pekerjaan - MRO Buyer

Purpose Statement: Individuals are expected to be self sufficient in managing the procurement execution of assigned goods, commodities and/or services in accordance with the quality, delivery and pricing as detailed in Purchasing SOP\u0027s and WI\u0027s.\n\nKey Job Accountabilities:\n\n * Responsible for purchasing of materials in accordance with the guidelines set forth by Plexus management and the customer\u0027s contract in terms of AVL adherence, unit price, quality and delivery.\n\n * Makes tactical buying decisions with respect to the placement and management of all purchase orders. \nThis process encompasses order placement, rescheduling and cancellations, as well as timely resolution of non conforming material, goods in discrepancies and invoice queries.\n\n * Minimize inventory while maintaining adequate material to meet production plans. \nInitiate appropriate corrective action and escalation to avoid impacting the production schedule.\n\n * Collaboratively manage established procurement automation processes which includes optimizing, troubleshooting, and ensuring data integrity within our automation systems to support efficient and accurate purchasing. \nIncludes tactical decision-making of when to leverage automation vs request exceptions in overall execution.\n\n * Coach and mentor less experienced members of the buying team to ensure optimum effectiveness, while acting as a role model and projecting a positive attitude. \n\n\n\n\nEducation/Experience Qualifications:\n\n * Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience with a Bachelor\u2019s degree; or 2 years and a Master\u2019s degree; or equivalent work experience.\n\n\n\n\nOther Qualifications:\n\n * Strong analytical skills.\n\n * Detail oriented.\n\n * Self-starter with the ability to operate without constant direction.\n\n * Ability to work in a dynamic environment across various functional business groups.\n\n * Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.\n\n * Strong Google Workspace or MS Office skills with advanced knowledge of Excel.\n\n * General office equipment and materials.\n\n\n\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\n * Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment. Minimal physical activity is generally involved, emphasizing the importance of good posture and ergonomic workplace arrangements.\n\n\n\n\nTravel Requirements:\n\n * Less than 40%\n\n\n\n\nThis document does not represent a contract of employment and is not intended to capture every possible assignment the incumbent could be asked to perform.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * Responsible for local and oversea purchase of Indirect material and MRO items, maintaining and streamline qualified suppliers, negotiations and cost savings.\n\n * Plan, source and purchase materials, product, supplies, and equipment.\n\n * Obtain quotations and bids, analyzes, and makes recommendations.\n\n * Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal customers.\n\n * Build and maintains productive company/supplier relationships.\n\n * Promote purchasing department goals and philosophies.\n\n * Work closely with Internal Customers for accurate planning and maximizing production capacity.\n\n * Oversee project at profitable level. Control inventory at minimum or acceptable level.\n\n * Expedite material in order to fulfill production requirements.\n\n * Prepare reports.\n\n * Coordinate material transfer for new project.\n\n\n\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Prefer 1-3 years of working experience\n\n * Degree in engineering preferably with technical working experience or equivalent.\n\n * Strong communication skills.\n\n * Strong multi-tasking, organization, attention to detail and follow-up skills.\n\n * Knowledge of MRO and IDM procurement practices, terms, negotiation concepts, and business law.\n\n * Strong PC skills, spreadsheets, file transfers and data manipulation.\n\n\n\n
