The Opportunity

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to administer and optimise our enterprise security, backup, and collaboration platforms. In this role, you will drive the hands-on management of our enterprise-scale Zscaler (ZIA) environment, support enterprise backup operations, and oversee Microsoft Teams administration including call queues and user support.

What You’ll Do

• Administer, optimise, and troubleshoot platform policies, security, connectivity, and user access.


• Monitor enterprise backups (Asigra, KeepIT), ensure compliance/retention, perform restore testing, and participate in Disaster Recovery.


• Administer Teams (voice, call queues, collaboration) and support the broader Office 365 suite.


• Proactively manage multi-site datacentres, virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V), and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).


• Administer Active Directory (GPO, ADFS, Entra ID/Azure AD), Intune, Endpoint Central (patching), and endpoint security (Kaspersky, SentinelOne).


• Change Management: Submit, review, and implement production environment changes.


• Create technical procedures, document best practices for Tier 1/2 staff, and mentor team members (specifically on Kubernetes).


• Utilize monitoring tools (PRTG) and maintain asset configuration inventories.


• On-Call & Projects: Deliver management-directed projects and provide after-hours/weekend support for infrastructure emergencies.

Key Criteria

• 3+ years of hands-on experience administering enterprise backup solutions and/or Zscaler environments.


• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or equivalent professional work experience.


• Detail-oriented, analytical problem-solver with strong customer service skills and a proactive approach to learning new technologies.


• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills across all organisational levels.

Preferred Certifications (One or more)

• Zscaler or Enterprise Backup Certification (e.g., Asigra, KeepIT)


• Managing Microsoft Teams


• Windows Server Administration


• Automated Administration with Windows PowerShell

Work Set Up

• Kuala Lumpur (Mid Valley City): Australian hours (6:00 AM – 3:00 PM MYT) Hybrid setup.
