Nursing Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Staff Management:
- Provide leadership and direction to the caregivers and physiotherapy teams, including setting goals, motivating staff, and fostering a positive work culture.
- Recruit, train, and evaluate caregivers to ensure competency and adherence to organizational standards.
- Manage staffing levels and schedules to ensure adequate coverage for resident care.

2. Clinical Oversight:
- Ensure that nursing care meets regulatory standards and follows best practices in geriatric care.
- Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to promote resident safety and well-being.
- Monitor the quality of care provided and implement improvements as needed.

3. Patient Care Coordination:
- Coordinate care plans for residents, ensuring that individual needs are met and preferences are respected.
- Assess resident conditions and collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Address any concerns or complaints related to patient care and take appropriate action to resolve issues.

4. Budget Management:
- Participate in budget planning and monitor expenses related to caregiving staffs, physiotherapists, medical supplies, and equipments.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure efficient use of resources without compromising quality of care.

5. Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to coordinate care and support resident well- being.
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care and optimal outcomes for residents.

6. Quality Improvement:
- Lead quality improvement initiatives to monitor and enhance the quality of   care provided in the facility.
- Implement evidence-based practices and standards to promote continuous improvement in resident outcomes.

7. Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate risks related to patient safety, infection control, and other healthcare-related issues.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify potential risks and develop strategies  to minimize them.

8. Education and Training:
- Support the professional development of caregiving staffs through training opportunities, continuing education, and mentoring.
- Ensure that staff members are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality care to residents.

Qualifications:

- Diploma in Nursing required
- Valid Annual Practicing Certificate
- Experiences in nursing care will be an added advantage
