Ocean Import Manager

We are representing a well-established logistics and supply chain solutions provider with a strong presence across Asia. We are company that offers a comprehensive range of services including freight forwarding, contract logistics, cross-border trucking, and e-commerce logistics.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the full import operations cycle, including SFFLA, customs clearance, costing, and billing for Import Jobs (Consol/FCL/LCL), ensuring efficiency and accuracy in execution
• Develop and implement import strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline overall operations
• Collaborate with internal departments such as Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure a seamless import process and superior customer experience
• Prepare, review, and verify all import documentation including customs declarations, bills of lading, and commercial invoices in compliance with relevant regulations
• Provide accurate costing, billing, and payment collection support, along with timely submission of Import Consol Profiles, forecasts, budgetary plans, nomination reports, and agent analysis reports to management
• Lead and supervise the Import team by providing direction, training, and performance support to ensure departmental goals and service standards are met

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in business, Logistics, or a related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Ocean Freight, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in import operations, including SFFLA, customs clearance, and costing & billing for Import Jobs (Consol/FCL/LCL)
• In-depth knowledge of local customs regulations and procedures
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and develop a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software
