Officer, Safety and Health - Career Growth Potential

Job Descriptions:

• In-charge of overall occupational safety and health activities for Kilang Makanan Mamee Melaka.
• In -charge of developing S&H procedures based on government regulations and requirements, and align with company policy.
• In-charge of S&H Audit and Inspections and write up audit and inspection reports and propose S&H improvement plan.
• Implement and execute contractor management flow and safe work procedure (SWP), permits and transmit all instructions to sub-contractors or other persons.
• Implement and execute hazard identification risk assessment and risk control (HIRARC) and advice management on the preventative measures.
• Ensure the obligations of OSHA 1994 Act, FMA 1967 Act and any other related rules and regulation within company activities.
• Assist in monitoring, maintain and enforce the S&H standards through awareness, audits, and regular walk through.
• Provide advice to Department Head on EHS matters and issues.
• To coordinate Health and Safety committee meetings.
• To develop and implement S&H training program and activities for employees.
• To conduct investigations of accidents and near misses
• Enhance and in-plant emergency response capability.

Job Requirements:

• Professional Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree (Environment / Health / Safety) or its equivalent.
• Familiar with OSHA regulations & requirements. Knowledge in safety practices. Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001, ISO45001, is added value advantage.
• To work closely with the local statutory bodies (DOSH, NIOSH, CIDB etc.) to ensure compliance and update the related issues.
• Good communication skill and able to interact with all level people.
