Operation Manager SG&MY

Primary Objective:

The Operations Manager for Warehouse and 3rd Party Logistic Management is responsible for overseeing and optimizing logistic process and managing relationships with third-party logistics providers. This role requires a multi-disciplinary approach and knowledge of basic 3PL principles, 3PL theories and 3PL concepts. Expertise in SAP S/4 and a deep understanding of inventory management is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement inventory planning strategies to optimize inventory levels and ensure product availability.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers external warehousing and transportation based on SLA
• Review and ensure warehouse handlings (inbound and outbound) and delivery performance provided by service providers. Take immediate corrective and preventive action (CAPA) with service provider when performance gap is observed
• Accountable for inventory accuracy at external warehouse and timely review on inventory quality
• Validate and check 3PL monthly & ad-hoc billing before submission for payment approval
• Determines feasibility of concepts or projects. Has basic knowledge of related disciplines
• Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, manufacturing, and sales, to forecast demand and ensure adequate inventory levels.
• Compliance with regulatory requirements related to inventory management and logistics
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory management processes and systems
• Analyze data related to inventory levels, order fulfillment, and logistics performance to identify opportunities for improvement
• Support ad-hoc tasks related to logistic department, like Malaysia SAP implementation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry
• Strong knowledge of inventory planning principles and best practices
• Works as 3PL Manager on problem of moderate scope where the analysis of data requires a review of a variety of factors using Root Cause Analysis
• Formulates the solution for (technical) partial problems by combining previous experiences based upon technical analysis and 3PL (feasibility) studies.
• Leadership, especially related to 3PL to improve fulfilment quality, speed and cost.
