Please note: This role requires permanent night shifts with an onsite working arrangement.

Job Summary:
The Operations IT Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. The role involves responding to queries, running diagnostic programs, isolating problems, and determining and implementing solutions. The Operations IT Support Engineer ensures that all IT systems run efficiently and resolves any technical issues that arise.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Provide technical support for hardware and software issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure full resolution of issues.
  • Provide support via phone, email, or chat.

System Maintenance:

  • Maintain and update technical documentation.
  • Perform regular updates and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Monitor system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Conduct backup operations and implement disaster recovery plans.


Customer Service:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their issues and explain solutions.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff to resolve complex issues.
  • Provide training to end-users on the use of various applications and systems.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and technical developments.
  • Suggest improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of technical support operations.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux).
  • Knowledge of network protocols and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with various software applications and tools.
  • Experience with remote desktop applications and help desk software.


Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
  • This position may require occasional weekend or evening work to address urgent issues or complete projects.
  • Please note that this is a  permanent night shift role (2 shifts: 12AM - 9AM or 3AM - 12PM)
  • Working Arrangement:  Onsite (5 days/week)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and transport moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
