Job Summary:

As a Payroll Specialist focusing on payroll operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll while adhering to statutory regulations. This position will be based in Malaysia and will require deep expertise in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore payroll processing and statutory requirements.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Managing end-to-end payroll processing for employees across Southeast Asia (Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore), including payroll calculations, deductions, and statutory contributions, in compliance with local regulations and company policies;
  • Ensuring meticulous upkeep of staff records, including attendance, overtime (OT), and leave, guaranteeing all details are current within the system;
  • Partnering with other HR team members to serve as backup for HR Operations matters such as recruitment coordination, onboarding, offboarding etc;
  • Staying updated on changes in labor laws, tax regulations, and benefits practices in Southeast Asia countries, and implementing necessary updates to payroll and benefits processes accordingly;
  • Supporting HR initiatives and projects as assigned, contributing towards payroll and benefits expertise to cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement in HR service delivery;
  • Supporting the development and implementation of HR initiatives and HRIS systems;
  • Supporting the general administration of our site clinic in Johor Bahru
  • Any other HR-related ad-hoc tasks as assigned

    Qualifications:
  • BSc/BA in human resource, business administration, social studies, or relevant field
  • 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources function, with strong exposure in Payroll.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
  • High level of confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Exposure in processing payroll for any of the countries Hong Kong (required), Malaysia & Singapore is desirable
  • Good command in English language
  • Ability to speaks in Chinese language is an added advantage

    This role is located in Johor Bahru, applicants must be living in Johor Bahru or looking into relocating to Johor Bahru.
