Pharmacy Assistant - Hiring Urgently

Assist the Pharmacist in the control, distribution, dispensing & supply of drugs, administrative duties to ensure the provision of comprehensive high-quality pharmaceutical services & smooth pharmacy operation.

Provision of Services 

1. Ensure the requisition and delivery of drugs and pharmaceutical supplies to nursing and clinical departments are being carried out timely and efficiently for provision of smooth clinical services.
2. Perform administrative duties on drug and pharmaceutical items such as recordkeeping of dispensing records and prescriptions which will result in daily smooth departmental operations and compliance to legal requirements.
3. Prepare the medication packages and extemporaneous compounding under the supervision of Pharmacist to ensure correct and timely dispensing of drugs or pharmaceutical supplies to internal and external clients of PCMC.
4. Support the organization objectives by attending training sessions related to service quality initiatives to ensure compliance to best practices
5. Support and facilitate the development and planning of new facilities and services for the Department.

Business Continuity Management 

1. Maintain the cleanliness, safety and security of work areas, equipment and dispensing tools which will result in organized and high quality of work and high level of departmental safety and security.
2. Conformance and compliance to PCCP and SSP standards to ensure deliverance of optimal customer service standards
3. Support to ensure compliance to necessary preventive maintenance program for equipment in the Department to satisfactorily meet the service levels required by the Organization
4. Support business strategies and plans designed to generate revenue to the hospital through offering best customer services, to ensure the hospital maintains and meets its profit growth expectations
5. Report any pertinent operational issues to immediate supervisor for business continuity management when necessary.

Effective Stakeholder Management 

1. Support of effective handling of related stakeholders’ expectations which are to be met satisfactorily, and in accordance with organizational standards.
2. Report unresolved matters to superiors for handling, with appropriate documentation to mitigate risk exposure
3. Support collaboration on related matters for desired outcomes.

Education & Training 

1. Diploma in Pharmacy or its equivalent.
2. Related professional certification or a Post Basic qualification is an advantage 

Working Experience

1. Minimum 2 years of working experience, preferably in a hospital pharmacy.
2. Chemotherapeutic medication preparation and basic aseptic technique is an added advantage

Knowledge

1. Pharmacy-specific knowledge 
2. Computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft applications.
