Planning and Logistics coordinator (Logistics Coordinator) - Urgent Hire

Purpose:

The planning and logistics coordinator plays an important role in overseeing the seamless movement of finished goods from manufacturing to the warehousing. The coordinator will work with Logistics and Planning team as our liaison with the contractor manufacturers and logistics services providers in ensuring the flow of products from manufacturing to our regional warehouses and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Administration

• Logistics coordination: Coordinate transportation, warehousing and product movement from the manufacture and warehouses to regional warehouses and customers.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and track stock movements to ensure seamless movement of product from manufacturing to the global regional warehouses.
• Vendor Management: Laise with the contractor manufacturers, Logistics service providers to resolve issues and maintain strong relationships.
• Continuous improvement: Review and analysis our logistics processes to identify areas of improvements.
• Stakeholder engagement: Coordinate with internal teams and freight forwarders to ensure shipping documents are sent to relevant parties for receipt of goods in the destination country.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders on planning and logistics-related issues.
• Reporting: Generate regular reports on purchase order and shipment reconciliations
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records including stock transfer orders, shipping documents and inventory movements

• Identify and troubleshoot logistics challenges, proposing effective solutions to mitigate disruptions and improve processes.

Qualifications:

• Diploma Degree or above in Logistics, Supply Chain management, Business or Administration or a related field is desirable

Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or retail environment is preferrable.
• Demonstrated track record in developing and maintaining business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Exceptional time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office and previous experience using an ERP system with experience using SAP is highly desirable.
• Providing high levels of customer services with solutions focus.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
