Planning & Design Manager (Architecture)

Location: Jalan Ampang, KL

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Planning & Design

• Ensure the development of conceptual design for new development on residential and commercial properties within time line from the kick off date signed off by management
• Ensure timely review and confirmation of the design intent at various stages of the development process of the project(s) based on the Master Implementation Programme
• Monitor and review the quality of the design, material and workmanship in a timely manner during the development process

2. Feasibility Study (FS) & Master Implementation Programme (MIP)

• Establish design timeline including design progression and submission to authorities 
• To assist in preparing feasibility study for all the new potential land 
• Explore product composition to optimize product marketability and financial returns 

3. Development Order (DO), Building Plans (BP) & other Authority approvals

• To assist the liaison and coordination with consultants & authorities during DO/BP & other authorities’ applications in order to obtain approvals.

4. Coordination of Drawings

• Ensure architects, M&E, C&S, Landscape & ID's drawings are in order & within budget and compliance with MIP timeline.
• Manage design deliverables throughout the process, including Concept, Schematic, and Detailed Design 
• Ensure all tender drawings are accordance to design brief & standard specifications and compliance with authority guidelines or requirements and meet marketing request.
• Standardize design/specification across developed products/building scheme 

5. Preparation of SPA's

• Ensure S&P plans & specification are in accordance with the approved plans
• Ensure the share units area is in order and compliance to PTG guidelines/requirements.
• Ensure drawings & specification for scale model and brochure are in order and compliance with authority guidelines.

6. Research & Development

• Conduct R&D in order to enhance our product quality on material used & update latest product

REQUIREMENT: 

• 8 years in a similar capacity.
• Degree or Diploma in Town Planning or Building / Architectural or Business & Management with the knowledge of Planning, Design & UBBL 1986 or equivalent.
• Ability to plan & organise
• Ability to manage time effectively so as to meet timeline
• Ability to analyse & propose decisions
• Ability to solve complex problems
• Understanding of the property & construction business
• Understanding of design, plans & drawings (Architectural knowledge)
• Materials specification, usage & limitation
• Town Planning & Sustainability
