Role Overview :

The position is designed for a
strategic leader who can oversee the entire lifecycle of palm -based oleochemical
production site. This includes the entire cycle from feedstock processing to
high -value specialty chemicals.

The focus is on Yield
Optimization, Sustainability Compliance, and P&L Ownership.

Roles and responsibilities :

• Direct all daily plant operations, ensuring
  production targets for fatty acids, fatty alcohols, and refined glycerine are
  met on time and within budget.
  
• Drive the digital transformation of the plant by
  implementing Industry 4.0 solutions, automation, and real -time process
  monitoring to enhance productivity.
  
• Develop and execute long -term CAPEX plans for
  plant expansion, equipment upgrades, and energy -efficient technology
  
• Full P&L accountability for the
  manufacturing site, focusing on reducing "Cost Per Unit" and managing
  OPEX.
  
• Optimize Production Yield and Mass Balance to
  minimize feedstock waste and maximize the output of high -margin specialty
  chemicals.
  
• Monitor global feedstock price volatility and
  collaborate with the procurement team to align production schedules with market
  trends
  

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemical
  Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field. An MBA is highly
  advantageous.
  
• Minimum 15–20 years of experience in chemical industrial
  manufacturing, with at least 8–10 years in a senior leadership role
  specifically within the Oleochemicals industry.
  
• Deep knowledge of oleochemical processes
  (Hydrolysis, Esterification, Hydrogenation) and the ability to troubleshoot
  complex chemical engineering bottlenecks.
  
• Thorough understanding of Malaysian industrial
  laws (EQA 1974, OSHA 1994) and global sustainability frameworks.
  
• Proven experience in managing multi -million
  ringgit budgets and a track record of implementing Lean/Six Sigma projects that
  resulted in measurable cost savings.
