Pre-Sales Engineer

Main Responsibilities :

1. Technical support of pre-sales and market development activities, which may include attending user requirement gathering discussions and design discussions. Be the intermediary point between customer and vendor sales engineers. Generate accurate Bill Of Materials and Quantities.
2. Perform Proof-Of-Concept to address customer’s requirements.
3. Expert in specific product offer domain along with broad product portfolio knowledge and thorough understanding of the network and services / offer domain along with broad product portfolio knowledge and through understanding of the network and services. Conduct consultative discussions with customers pertaining to design and technology to address customer’s requirements.
4. Stay updated with technology and product knowledge from various vendors. Maintain/enhance certification aimed towards enabling the company to attain higher tier partnership levels with various vendors. In capacity as Subject Matter Expert for certain technology domains, to provide knowledge transfer to other Presales and Post-sales Technical Engineers/Consultants.
5. Work closely with Sales/Account Managers for all opportunities. Have clear understanding of customer’s requirements and translating that to a viable and competitive technical solution. Assist Sales/Account Managers with product and solution presentation to the customers. Identify weakness of competitor’s solutions while highlighting our value proposition.
6. Actively participate in tender response preparation and submission. Have in-depth understanding of the tender requirements, and work closely with the Technical Project Manager, Technical Support Manager and Sales/Account Manager to complete the overall tender responses. Respond to technical clarification sessions and provide product and solution presentation to the customer.
7. Transfer information to the post-sales technical lead upon successful award of a project. Be on standby to provide additional consultation to the post-sales team with regards to the product and technology during project implementation.

Requirements :

• Degree in Computer Science/IT/Engineering or related discipline.
• Must be able to work independently and with team members with minimum supervision.
• 3 to 5 years working experience, preferably related to Juniper network equipment and solutions.
• Pre-sales experience will be advantageous. 
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willing to travel.
