Preventive Maintenance Technician - with Growth Opportunities

Job Overview:

The Preventive Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the continuous operation and efficiency of manufacturing equipment through proactive maintenance and adherence to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles. This role requires a solid foundation in electronics, electrical, or mechanical engineering, with previous experience in maintenance and upkeep of SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and automated motorized production line equipment. Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards is essential for successful performance in this role.

Qualifications: 

1. Diploma or relevant certification in electronics, electrical, or mechanical engineering. 

2. Prior experience in maintenance and upkeep of SMT and automated motorized production line equipment. 

3. Knowledge and application of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles.

 4. Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards.

 5. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Equipment Maintenance:

•  Execute preventive maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. 
•  Conduct routine inspections, diagnostics, and calibrations of equipment to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.

 2. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM): 

• Apply TPM principles to optimize equipment effectiveness and minimize unplanned downtime. 
•  Engage in autonomous and planned maintenance activities to enhance overall equipment efficiency and reliability. 

 3. Technical Expertise: 

• Utilize specialized knowledge in electronics, electrical, or mechanical engineering to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions effectively. 
•  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment performance and resolve technical challenges.

 4. Experience: 

• Utilize past experience in maintaining and servicing SMT and motorized automation production line equipment to ensure their smooth operation. 
•  Apply expertise to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery in compliance with industry standards. 

 5.Compliance and Standards:

• Work in accordance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards to maintain a compliant and efficient work environment. 
•  Ensure that preventive maintenance practices align with the requirements of these quality and environmental management systems.

 6. Documentation and Reporting: 

•  Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and  parts usage. 
• Generate comprehensive reports on equipment condition, maintenance activities, and recommendations for improvements.

7. Training and Development:

•  Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with advancements in equipment technology and maintenance techniques. 
•  Provide training and knowledge transfer to fellow technicians to enhance the team's overall competency.
