Principal Expeditor

Job Overview:

Reporting functionally to the SCM Manager, the Principal Expeditor is responsible for supporting sourcing, negotiation, contract drafting and revision, procurement activities and supplier management for the project.   

Key Tasks and Responsibilities: 

• Develop and execute expediting strategies for subsea equipment, including flexible pipes, steel line pipe, steel risers, umbilicals, umbilical control systems, dynamic umbilicals, bend stiffeners, buoyancy modules, subsea valves, diverless connectors, subsea structures and other subsea related products.
• Manage full package delivery post purchase order placement. 
• Expedite internally and externally to ensure timely delivery of ordered packages.
• Manage suppliers through a combination of desktop expediting, online meetings and site visits to ensure all stages of order execution are completed on schedule to ensure package delivey.
• Maintain registers and logs to clearly report package progress.
• Mitigate supply chain risk through continual vendor engagement to ensure delivery.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Project Controls, QAQC, logistics to ensure required approvals and delivery.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure procurement cycle follows Company policies(UNIFI), Systems adaptation, Client requirements and HSE requirements.
• Strong Knowledge of subsea equipment, including flexible pipes, steel line pipe, steel risers, umbilicals, umbilical control systems, dynamic umbilicals, bend stiffeners, buoyancy modules, subsea valves, diverless connectors, subsea structures and other subsea related products.
• Confident in manufacturing processes, technical, fabrication and quality aspects. 
• Risk Management and problem solving in a fast paced project environment.

Essential Qualifications and Education: 

• Relevant degree in engineering or economics. 

• Offshore / Subsea experience is a must

• Other Oil and Gas experience preferred

• 10+ years’ procurement experience in an Oil and Gas EPC Company

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

• Effective communication and presentation skills.

• Demonstrated ability to define customer needs, understand who the customers are and
  build effective relationships with them.

• Ability to handle problems effectively and make appropriate trade-offs that lead to sound decisions. 

• Effective negotiator

• Person must have good communication skills. 
• Must be fluent in English, both written / oral 
• Travel Requirements: As and when required
