Process Mechanical Engineer (CNC Machining/Sheet Metal/Metal Fabrication)

• Responsible for operations in the machining, metal fabrication, and CNC cutting
• To ensure mill certification in the customer specification sheet.
• Hands on concept and detailed Mechanical design for a range of projects, in a lead discipline engineer role and provide design calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Candidate shall work independently with Minimum Supervision
• Develop internal Machining/Sheet Metal/Fabrication process.
• Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines.
• Conforming with state and company safety regulations.
• Setting up metalwork machinery including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes, and shears
• Double-checking design specifications before commencing with cutting work
• Fabricating and constructing metal components
• Grinding and finishing completed products
• Performing quality checks on completed products
• Complete AD-HOC jobs assigned by direct superior within time given good communication and coordination skills
• Complete the welding work according to related production orders, drawings, documents and WPS
• Perform all types of welding and metal fabrication works in accordance to work instructions.
• Ensure product quality, equipment care, meet production output/pace, housekeeping and schedules.
• Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
• Responsible for detailed and optimized design of sheet metal parts.
• Setting up automation systems for internal use (eg robotic arm)
• Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects.
• Devise test methodologies and conduct experiments to verify designs.

Requirement:

• Previous work experience as a metal fabricator
• Advanced mathematical and engineering skills
• Prefer candidate with Mechanical Engineering Studies or equivalent
• Knowledge of operation of welding equipment/tools and machine
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in molding fabrication processes in quality management, molding process, and secondary process
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the Sheet Metal
• Familiar with sheet metal manufacturing requirements
• Preferably experienced in industrial automation
• Good work attitude, strong sense of responsibility, good communication and coordination skills
• Familiar with mechanical principles and master CAD drawing software
• Good knowledge of plastics, rubber, casting, extrusion and sheet metal parts.
• Preferably experienced in industrial automation
• Experience either in CNC Machine/Sheet Metal/Metal Fabrication Working environment
• Proficiency with metal fabrication tools including shears, rollers, flame cutters, and drill presses.
• AWS certification and advanced welding experience.
• Good knowledge of stainless steel and mild steel fabrication processing
• Good knowledge of flow rate / pipe pressure calculation

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
