Overview:
We are looking for a Process Specialist to drive the digital transformation of SME lending products and optimization of existing channels. This role will bridge business and technology teams to enhance lending processes, simplify customer experience, and optimize operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business & Process Analysis – Analyze SME lending workflows, identify bottlenecks, and recommend process improvements.
2. Risk assessment - Provide risk-based feasibility assessments to product squads and project teams during the design and development of SME digital solutions, ensuring proposed changes align with regulatory, operational, and compliance requirements. Contribute expertise in defined business and operational processes to support team initiatives.
3. Control validation - Ensure controls are embedded in digital journeys (e.g., system validation, user access, maker-checker, exception handling)
4. Digital Product Optimization – Work with product, tech, and operations teams to enhance loan applications and commercial card processes.
5. Data-Driven Insights – Gather, analyze, and interpret data to improve loan approval rates, turnaround time, and customer conversion.
6. Requirement Gathering & Documentation – Translate business needs into clear requirements for system enhancements and automation.
7. Stakeholder Collaboration – Work closely with risk, credit, credit operations, and Tech teams to align business objectives with digital solutions.
8. Competitor & Market Research – Benchmark SME lending offerings, identifying best practices and areas for competitive advantage.
9. User Testing & Validation – Assist QA to ensure system enhancements meet business needs through rigorous testing and feedback collection.
10. Regulatory & Compliance Support – Ensure product changes align with banking regulations and internal policies.
11. Automation & Efficiency Improvements – Identify opportunities for digitization and automation to improve processing speed and accuracy.
12. End to end Project Implementation – Assist in the implementation of SME lending initiatives, up to go live and continuous improvements.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong drive for excellence and grit to get things out to market.
- Prior experience with retail/ SME credit systems/ loan origination platforms or product ownership roles in financial institutions/ fintech is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, IT, or related field.
