- To lead and manage the procurement team in HQ and at project site by ensuring on time delivery of all project materials, consumable items, supplies, services and equipment for the project and company needs.
- To review and develop a comprehensive sourcing strategy, procurement SOP and policies and implement long term goals to achieve the departmental KPI.
- To lead the negotiation process with all suppliers/vendors and to secure advantage terms for the company emphasizing on cost savings and quality of services and products.
- To lead all supplier/vendor evaluation and audits to maintain robust supplier/vendor quality standards.
- To work closely with all project managers, division heads and head of departments and to ensure timely delivery of all departmental items and project materials/equipment’s requirements.
- Travel extensively to project site and meet project managers to understand their needs and for clear work engagement.
- Collaborate with other departments and project teams to streamline procurement process and enforce all developed procurement policies and procedures.
- Ensure all PR/PO and GRN are generated on a timely manner and to ensure inventory database are kept updated all the time.
- Ensure all procurement process are audited and present a monthly report to the management highlighting pertinent points/suggestion for improvement purposes.
- Comply to all Company Policies (QMS, EMS, OSH, ABMS and other policies) in work execution and engagement with other departments.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or relevant field
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Procurement Manager
- Good working knowledge in procurement process.
- Knowledge in oil and gas industry.
- Knowledge and experience in ISO quality Management.
Skills Needed
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel).
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
- Good communication and negotiation skills and high level of integrity.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative/integrative style of working to accomplish objectives.
- Full competence in project collation, communications and reporting.
- Organized approach and able to work under pressure
- Leadership qualities.
- Familiar with an array of supply management software, including database management, financial analysis, inventory management, point of sale, procurement and project management programs, as well as general office software.
