Product Design Engineers (Wood Furniture Manufacturing) Kajang/Hulu Langat - Immediate Start

Client is a major player in the export furniture industry and are currently exporting to countries such as China, America, Australia, Japan, and more. They are expanding their team and are looking for knowledgeable wood workers with technical abilities in designing, drafting, and constructing indoor solid wood furniture.

Responsibilities:

• Building furniture based on the specifications and designs provided by the company. 
• Designing commercial furniture based on the specifications provided by the company. 
• Drafting technical drawings based on conceptual designs. 
• Creating 2D & 3D furniture models using Inventor & AutoCAD based on conceptual designs. 
• Drafting a bill of material. 
• Conducting safety tests on products to ensure products conform to market safety standards. 
• Leading a team to build the furniture. 
• Other ad-hoc tasks related to the construction, designing, and production of the furniture.

Requirements:

• Preferably a bachelor’s degree in industrial design or furniture design. 
• At least 3–5 years of experience in wood working and/or in the furniture manufacturing industry. 
• Competent with technical drawings, woodworking, and furniture design and construction. 
• Preferably able to fluently speak Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin. 
• A passionate, detailed-orientated individual who is driven with good communication and interpersonal skills.
