Product Engineer (Electrical and Electronic) - Hiring Now

You are expected to be:
The main purpose of this role is to lead, study, test, analyse, and coordinate research and projects towards profitable product portfolio expansion and client-oriented product development. This is a hands-on role with the requirements to multitask and manage stakeholder relationships. 

The Product Engineer’s key accountabilities are:

1. PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
   Developing client’s customization requirements into real products. This includes establishing technical specification and defining project SOW to detail feature definition and drive project decisions.
2. Assist in the maintenance of quality, product improvements and changes for recently developed and legacy products, including BOM maintenance and product pricing.
3. Generates and manages periodic reviews and updates of all relevant technical documents such as Product Specification, Technical Datasheet, Process Flow Chart and Computation Templates.
4. Expands product portfolio by performing competitive product and roadmap analysis by researching industry best practices, client needs, and competitor capabilities.
5. Develop in-lab and on-field testing and evaluation plans for new products.
6. Validates product implementation fit / completeness / readiness for field use and provide feedback for product improvements.
7. Works closely with Sales and Operations team to understand marketing requirement, market demand and internal capability and limitations.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT

1. Provides technical support and expertise to Sales and Operations.
2. Develops training material and conducts training of Operations and Sales team for new or changed products or processes.
3. Develops calculation templates and algorithms that automate processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate test results and performance datasets from disparate data sources via excellent Excel skills (macros and formulas).
4. Conducts in-depth investigation should there be any non-conformance on existing products, and proactively solving product performance related issues.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: (mandatory qualifications to apply) 

1. Bachelor’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or related engineering field.
2. At least 3 years of hands-on experience in product research and development as well as testing towards new product qualification and introduction.
3. Demonstrated project management, supplier management, creative problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
5. Malaysian ONLY

Other Attributes:(Preferred) 

1. Proficient in varied Microsoft Office 365 tools and applications software, such as Microsoft Excel, Power Automate, Power BI or Power Apps.
2. Strong management skill, aggressive, result oriented with the ability to work under pressure and dynamic environments.
3. Literacy (spoken & written) in third language is an advantage.
4. Good interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for continuous improvement.
5. Non smoker and medical report for certification of physical fitness and drug-free screening.
