JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for coordinating and executing the production planning process, ensure the timely availability of materials, track production progress, and communicate with relevant departments to meet production goals, ensure smooth workflow in the production planning department.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support production planning activities, data analysis, and process improvement initiatives to ensure alignment with business needs. Drive planning effectiveness, optimize operational efficiency, and minimize overproduction through continuous improvement.

Job Areas

  • Leading and managing the production planning team to achieve production targets and deadlines.
  • Developing and implementing production plans and schedules that optimize resources and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as engineering, quality control, and operations to ensure timely and efficient production processes.
  • Analysing production data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitoring and reporting on production performance metrics, such as cycle time, throughput, and yield.
  • Managing inventory levels and materials planning to ensure adequate supply for production needs.
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives to streamline production processes and increase efficiency.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices in production planning to maintain a competitive edge.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Min Degree Holder
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in production planning, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, logistics, and engineering.
