Program Manager, PMO APAC

Purpose Statement\n\nAs a Program Manager APAC who will be based either in Malaysia or Shanghai, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and driving complex end-to-end programs for Boston Scientific Asia Pacific. This multifaceted position requires a strategic thinker with excellent organizational, planning, influencing, and communication skills. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the successful execution of programs from initiation to completion, with a specific emphasis on change management to facilitate organizational adaptation.\n\n \n\n \n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nProject Management\n\n * Lead the planning, execution, and closure of end-to-end programs, driving to meet timelines and overall program objectives.\n * Work closely with stakeholders to develop sound businesses case for decision including project objectives, deliverables and success criteria.\n * Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, stakeholder analysis, communication and resource requirements.\n * Identify and mitigating potential risks, maintaining a risk and issues register and implement corrective actions as needed.\n * Evaluate and ensure user readiness, track and report issues, define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress.\n * Define training and performance support schedule and manage the design and delivery of training programs by project subject matter experts / process specialists.\n * Monitor program progress through to stakeholder adoption, business handover and project closure.\n\n\n\n \n\nStakeholder Management\n\n * Engage stakeholders at all levels to create awareness, build commitment, ensuring clear communication and understanding of program goals and drive a positive attitude toward change.\n * Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on status, risks, and issues.\n * Foster effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders.\n * Collaborate with country/function teams, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure effective change communication and training programs.\n * Define overall stakeholder engagement and communication plans, including the design, development, and key communication materials.\n * Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure alignment and support for project objectives.\n\n\n\n \n\nResource Management\n\n * Ensure that project team members, change champions and change ambassadors have the necessary tools, training, and support to perform their roles effectively.\n\n\n\n \n\nBudget Management\n\n * Manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within financial constraints.\n * Track project expenses and report on budgetary status regularly.\n\n\n\n \n\nQuality Assurance\n\n * Adhere to the BSC project management standards, using established methodologies and tools to define the business case, objectives, scope, roles \u0026 responsibilities.\n * Participate in regular reviews to ensure compliance with established standards.\n\n\n\n \n\nContinuous Improvement\n\n * Identify opportunities for process improvement within the PMO and the broader organization.\n * Lead and contribute to VIPs in the PMO and the broader organization.\n\n\n\n \n\nReporting and Documentation\n\n * Prepare regular status reports for key stakeholders and Portfolio managers, providing insights into program performance and highlighting achievements, risks and challenges.\n * Maintain comprehensive documentation of program plans, processes, and outcomes.\n\n\n\n \n\n \n\n \n\nRequirements:\n\n * Minimum 6-8 years of experience managing large, complex commercial projects across the APAC region, preferably within a global organisation, with a proven track record in project and change management and end-to-end delivery.\n * Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive alignment and motivate teams without direct reporting authority.\n * Digital project experience is preferred, particularly with exposure to Salesforce and SAP environments.\n * Experience in Master Data Management (MDM) and data hub initiatives and sales will be added advantage \n * Exposure to capital service projects, covering the lifecycle from pre-sales through post-sales delivery.\n * Excellent communication skills with fluency in spoken and written English.\n * Asian language capability (Mandarin or Japanese) is a plus given the APAC scope, including China and Japan markets.\n * Flexibility to collaborate across multiple time zones.\n * Occasional travel within APAC to company sites may be required.\n * Strong working knowledge of MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project).\n\n\n\nRequisition ID: 627572\n\nAs a leader in medical science for more than 40 years, we are committed to solving the challenges that matter most \u2013 united by a deep caring for human life.
