Project Engineer

The Project Engineer will actively contribute to good development of our client in Malaysia by using all his skills from prospection stage till the delivery of the equipment with the ultimate objective to bring full satisfaction to our clients

Our client has its headquarters in France and is now looking to further develop its regional office in Malaysia

The Role

• The Project Engineer is in charge of the good execution of a project in accordance with well-defined objectives (quality, budget, and schedule)
• He/she is in charge of the communication with the customer and always make sure of its satisfaction
• He/she is in charge of the creation and the respect of the budget and schedule
• He/she is versatile, such, has the opportunity to lead additional missions in accordance with his skills

Main Responsibilities:

The Project Engineer is responsible for the good execution of projects he/she is in charge in accordance with defined objectives (budget, schedule, specifications, and regulations)

He/she is responsible for the conformity of project he delivers to a client

Detailed responsibilities (non-exhaustive list):

• Define and follow budget
• Define and follow project schedule
• Participate in design review and risk analyses (Machine Directive) and other technical meetings
• Participate to clients meeting including Kick off Meeting
• Carry out the production of some project documentation
• Follow up with all fields to ensure good execution of the project (documentation, engineering, production, quality)
• Communicate the progress of the project to the client
• Report the progress of his projects to the management, alert in advance is there are any identified deviations
• As part of his missions, he/she may be requested to travel in France and other countries for short periods

Work Relationship:

• The Project Engineer reports to the Industrial Manager in Malaysia
• He/she works closely with the engineering, procurement, DCC and production team in Malaysia
• He/She is the main contact point for the client
• He/she is actively contributing to the good relationships with local partners (suppliers and clients)

Profile required:

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent major with minimum 2 years of related experience (technical project management)
• Good Knowledge in equipment production processes
• Good Knowledge in design software (SolidWorks, Autocad)
• Good knowledge in project documentation production
• Knowledge in ATEX/IECEX is a plus
• Knowledge in lifting and handling industry is a plus
• Ability to estimate design lead-time and project costs
• Result oriented and problems solver
• Good communicant internally and with the clients
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
• Open-minded, able to work in an international environment
• Methodical, Logic and critical thinking
