Project Engineer - Oil & Gas Solutions (Contract Role)

Key Responsibilities

• Handle the tendering and solution's while working closely with the Sales team to secure projects.
  
• Project planning, scheduling, execution, documentation, and handover to service team for DLP.
  
• Revenue forecasting and revenue recognition.
  
• Work closely with the Order Management team for revenue recognition and invoicing.
  
• Manage customers, contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, and suppliers during the project phase, including replying to technical queries and clarifying matters about the Tender Offer.
  
• Responsible for variation orders to increase contract value and work closely with sales team to secure VO.
  
• Prepare a tender proposal including concept drawing, simple control philosophy and general layout of the system for the Sales.
  
• Review Contract, Technical Specification and Drawing upon receiving the Purchase Order (PO)
  
• Evaluate Tender Drawing such as Architectural & structural drawing, System P&ID, Single Line Drawing.
  
• Timely submission of the cost report for review.
  
• Develop and prepare Request for Quotation (RFQ) to Procurement team and assist to evaluate the technical competency to fulfill the technical aspect of the supply.
  
• Design and submit construction documents and drawings for approval.
  
• Monitor the performance of the site team to ensure all critical milestones are met.
  
• Develop mitigation plan if the site progress is behind schedule or critical path are not met.
  
• Attend site progress meetings to report progress and coordinate with other services to minimize rework due to service collision.
  
  

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics with minimum 3 years of experience in project engineering or project management.
  
• Past working experience with EPC, contractors, tendering/bid management.
  
• Proficient in AutoCAD or equivalent design software experience is a required.
  
• Knowledge in air compressor/compressed air systems is an advantage.
  
• Committed and able to collaborate effectively with the team to successfully accomplish the project.
  
• Willing & able to travel within West, East Malaysia & Brunei.
