Project Manager - Generous Compensation

RESPOSIBILITIES :

• Lead and manage the overall day-to-day project management construction activities to ensure health, safety and environment, schedule time, budget cost, scope of works and quality standards are adhered and achieved.
• Liaise and coordinate with project Stakeholders which include relevant authorities, consultants, internal departmental units, contractors and suppliers to ensure all works and services fulfil technical specifications and authorities’ requirements.
• Review and feedback architectural and engineering documented plans, designs and technical specifications sheet to ensure timely implementation and smooth running of projects.
• Plan, organize, supervise and coordinate all technical, commercial, financial and administrative activities status of the projects.
• To ensure all projects are executed within or below the approved project budget cost. Closely monitor under the project cost control file or project cash flow forecast statement.
• To prepare and develop the documentation master schedule, plan and allocate for the required resources, monitor the progress and take appropriate steps to expedite the project works, when necessary.
• Possess a good understanding on the contract document including the project requirements and specifications and ensure the engineering and project works are in compliance with the requirements and specifications.
• Manage contract administration which includes coordinating and development of tender activities, monitoring materials, construction costs and procurement, site valuation, variation orders, verifying construction progress claims and finalization of accounts.
• Lead staff, review and/or develop as required the project manpower planning to ensure effective deployment in terms of staffing level and competencies.
• Monitor contractor’s performance and strict enforcement on compliance to safety, quality (QA/ QC), applicable codes, specifications and contract drawings.
• Manage risk by anticipating and mitigating any potential technical issues/ concern that may prevent the on time, on cost and on quality delivery of the projects.
• Perform value engineering in the design when possible while ensuring it complies with the project specifications.
• Provide the necessary advice in technical procurement.
• Ensure all works are performed with good engineering practice and in compliance with the project health, safety and environment requirements.
• Lead, set direction, assign project work and provide necessary advice to the subordinates on all design and project documentation works.
• Feedback to Stakeholders on all site related project works information, problems arise, changes and solution made via meeting or email communication.
• Control the project works and filing system and ensure they are compliance with ISO standard requirements and SOP’s, including lessons learned.
• Coordinate of pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, and follow up till internal and external project handover stage.
• To coordinate, review and develop project status progress reporting works including daily, weekly and monthly report as per SOP procedures. Weekly and monthly internal project review meeting will be schedule to discuss project work status, engineering issues, update and improvement of engineering requirement and etc.
• To perform client management works including face to face meeting, project progress update and payment status follow up and etc. works. The written meeting minutes as record documentation.

EXPEREINCE AND SKILLS

We expect the following experience and skills:

• More than 15 years’ experience as a Project Manager for major projects preferable environmental or energy projects
• Graduate Civil, etc. with more than 15 years of professional experience
• Experience in design of technical facilities preferable environmental or energy projects
• Experience in supervision of civil & construction works
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Good communication skills
• Team worker
• Ability to meet tight time schedule
• IT skills, experienced with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Project etc.
• Knowledge in Geogrid or Earthwork Construction added advantage
