Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in managing projects through their complete lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring they meet business objectives on time, within scope, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Initiation:

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans that cover all project lifecycle phases including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Identify project stakeholders and establish effective communication plans.

Project Execution and Monitoring:

• Implement agile project methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
• Manage day-to-day activities of cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.
• Monitor project progress, manage project schedules, and ensure resources are properly allocated.
• Develop and control the project budget, managing expenditure within agreed value delivery and spending plans.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide progress reports to stakeholders and executive sponsors.

Risk Management and Quality Assurance:

• Identify and mitigate project risks to avoid impacts on project success.
• Ensure projects meet quality standards and adhere to industry best practices and coding standards.
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.

Project Closure:

• Conduct project closure activities including project handover, documentation, and lessons learned sessions.
• Ensure the project meets its objectives and delivers the expected value to the business.

Stakeholder Management and Communication:

• Ensure all projects are consistent with overall IT customer objectives and strategic plans.
• Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate effective communication among project team members and stakeholders.

Governance and Compliance:

• Establish appropriate governance functions for the project in accordance with enterprise policies and practices.
• Ensure compliance with the company’s project management standards and methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrative working experience in IT project management, preferably in managing software development projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Technical background with experience in multiple programming languages and software development methodologies is highly advantageous.
• Proficiency in agile project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, JIRA).
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with experience interacting with senior leaders and executives.
